1. Acceptance
By using RxScan Guide™ (the “Application”), you accept these Terms of Use. The Application is developed and operated by RxScan Technologies Inc., located in Quebec, Canada.
2. Service description
RxScan Guide™ is an educational tool designed to help users better understand a medication list. The Application may help read, organize and present general information about medications, including through optical character recognition (OCR), medication name matching and educational cards.
The Application provides general educational information only.
3. No medical service
RxScan Guide™ does not diagnose, treat any medical condition, prescribe medication or replace a physician, pharmacist, nurse or any other healthcare professional.
No treatment should be started, stopped, interrupted, replaced or changed based on the Application.
4. User responsibility
Users must always verify displayed information against the original medication list, original packaging, pharmacy label or a qualified healthcare professional.
Users remain responsible for how they use the information displayed.
5. OCR and matching limits
OCR and matching can be wrong. Results may contain errors, omissions, name confusion, dosage issues, incomplete information or incorrect matches.
A blurry photo, damaged label, handwriting, unusual format or poor lighting may affect results.
6. Educational content
The Application may provide general information and educational cards. This information may be incomplete, simplified or not applicable to your personal situation.
For any question about a medication, side effect, interaction, dose or treatment, consult a healthcare professional.
7. Availability and changes
RxScan Guide™ may evolve, be modified, suspended or discontinued. Some features may be experimental, incomplete or unavailable depending on the version of the Application.
8. Intellectual property
The texts, interfaces, trademarks, logos, knowledge bases, visual elements and other Application content belong to RxScan Technologies Inc. or their respective owners.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, RxScan Technologies Inc. is not responsible for consequences arising from OCR errors, matching errors, incomplete information, misinterpretation or any decision made based on the Application.
10. Changes
RxScan Technologies Inc. may modify these Terms. The applicable version is the version published on the official RxScan Guide™ pages.
